Atypon Link: Librarian Administration

Once your order for online access has been placed Vathek will upload a subscription file to the Atypon Link site in order for your access to be set up.  Organisational subscriptions are automatically set up with IP access where the IPs have been given.  If an email address has been included in your order, an email will automatically be generated by the Atypon Link system.  This email gives details of how to set up library administrator access.  The email will ask the librarian to go to the site and register an account as follows:

1. Please go to www.atypon-link.com/action/registration. From here you will be asked to choose your own username and password - you can pick anything that is easy for you to remember.

Once you have completed your registration, make sure you are logged in to Atypon Link site. Then, select the 'Activate' option and then you need to choose the 'Set yourself up as the librarian for your institution' option.

At this point you will need to add your customer number which is included in the email you have received. A customer number is generated each time a publisher uploads content subscriptions for you, so you may have several different numbers. Activating your admin access for your different customer numbers will combine your subscriptions together for you - there is no need to have more than one log in. You can activate as many customer numbers as you need with one set of login details.

2. Retrieving usage reports

With all of your customer numbers activated, your subscriptions will now all be combined under your Librarian admin login details. When you login to Atypon Link you will now see some 'Library administration' options on the left of the screen. Amongst these options you will see 'Usage Report'. Once you have selected this option you will be taken to the reports available for you:

You can then simply choose the report you require and select 'run report'. You will then be given the option to save your report.

NOTE: As Atypon Link is the host for several publishers, you may find that you need to use the 'change library' option at the top of the usage reports page. You will see here, that depending on the name the publisher has given your organisation, you will need to switch to another set of your subscriptions to run the reports for the titles you require. Reports can then easily be combined.

3IP ranges

It's also possible to view the IP ranges (s) registered for your organisation.  Once you are logged in select "IP ranges".

NOTE: It is only possible to view IP range(s) and not to change them.  Atypon are also unable to change IPs.  Please contact Vathek directly to do this.

If you have any technical queries or queries regarding your customer number please contact: support@atypon-link.com where a member of the Atypon helpdesk will deal with your query.
